Indigenous Tribe Speaks on Oceans

Today at the Rio+20 Conference the Kogi tribe of Colombia will speak about the interconnectivity of the rivers and oceans.

In 1992 the Kogi people of Colombia left their remote mountain home to warn the world about the destruction of the Earth which they saw unfolding around them.  Working with a filmmaker they tried to communicate that time was running out for the planet.

In 2012 the Kogi have returned with a new film because we didn’t listen. Using the connectivity of the rivers and ocean to demonstrate their message they speak again about the need to respect the natural world.

You will be able to view the event on oceansinc from 22nd June and more about the film atalunathemove.aol.com
